FLORISSANT MISSOURI (KTVI) - Share My Kickz Foundation mission is to build healthy relationships through family activities that build children's self-esteem, character, confidence, and respect for others. The foundation provides shoes to children that are primary or secondary victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, free of charge, in the St. Louis community. They collect new or gently used children’s shoes. The shoes collected are provided primarily to local women shelters that directly serve children victims and any other children in need of shoes.

The founder and CEO of the foundation , Rhonika Jones, says there is a tremendous need for shoes right here in the United States at women shelters everywhere. Jones says it is her vision to help children take a stand against domestic violence by donating their gently used shoes to children that desperately need them. Participation may be individual or through schools, religious organizations, and businesses.

Rhonika is a graduated with her Master Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University and is currently in her PhD program studying Counseling Psychology. After working as a Professional Counselor and Victim Advocate for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Rhonika noticed first hand that her clients needed resources for their children after fleeing from a domestic violence relationship. Seeing first hand how their children were affected prompted and motivated her and her family to take action. It became their personal family goal to help as many children as possible. The Share My Kickz Foundation was started in November 2012. Throughout the years Rhonika has continued to be a voice against Domestic Violence.

The need for basic items such as shoes is greatly exceeding the available resources inside of the majority of women shelters at the Share My Kickz Foundation they are standing tall in their Kickz for every child victim primary or secondary that has ever experienced domestic violence or sexual assault with the ultimate goal of ended it.
