Memorial service scheduled for Marine killed by sinkhole

(KTVI)– A memorial service will be held Saturday for a U.S. Marine who died after falling into a sinkhole.

Staff Sergeant Curtis Powelson was tracking a deer when he fell into the 70-foot deep sinkhole in Pulaski County.

It happened near his home.

Saturday’s services will be held 10 a.m. in the Main Post Chapel at Fort Leonard Wood.
