Keysor Elementary School wins National Blue Ribbon

KIRKWOOD, MO. (KTVI) – Kirkwood’s Keysor Elementary School has won a National Blue Ribbon from the U. S. Department of Education.  Principal Dr. Bryan Painter was informed of schools win Tuesday morning, staff and students were informed during an assembly held in the school gymnasium.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan awarded 9 schools in Missouri with National Blue Ribbon awards.

That list included 3 other schools from the St. Louis area:

  • Brentwood, Brentwood High School
  • St. Charles, Messiah Lutheran School
  • St. Louis, Sappington Elementary School

 

The Kirkwood School District has previously won National Blue Ribbons for Westchester Elementary School in 2207 and North Kirkwood Middle School in 1995.

All of the National Blue Ribbon school winners will be recognized in Washington, D.C. on November 18th and 19th.
