St. Louis bio-tech company Graematter expanding

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) -  A revolutionary step in St. Louis' Efforts to become a hub for bio-technology.  A new St. Louis based company is announcing the release of its first product, a software system that streamlines the research process for companies trying to develop new medical devices. The company is Graematterand it's software system is called Sofie.

Mayor Francis Slay says today's announcement is proof several local groups trying to help start-up companies get going are succeeding.

"This is exciting this is basically an example of the fruits of the efforts we have been undertaking for the past several years to create a better environment for entrepreneurship, a better environment for starting businesses and making a better economy for our entire region. "

Graematter plans to expand its staff of six employees to twenty over the next year.
