ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 in game 4 of the NLDS. The five game series is tied 2-2. The Redbirds need a win in the next game to advance to the NLCS. That game will be played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on Wednesday.

The game was scoreless into the sixth inning when Matt Holliday hit a two-run homer into center field to take the lead. Michael Wacha was pitching a no-hitter into the 8th inning when Pedro Alvarez hit a solo home run to score. It was not enough for the Pirates. They fell to the Cards with a final score of 2-1.

The teams meet in St. Louis on Wednesday for the 5th game of the series. The winner will take the Division. Pittsburgh has not won a post season series since 1979.
