The day began on a high note.

People arriving at the ballpark were still savoring Friday night’s 13 inning game that ended with a Cardinal victory.  One woman said, “It was awesome I was just on the edge of my seat, just the edge of my seat.  Some folks admitted to being very tired after staying up so late.

Inside the stadium fans hoped winning the first game would only bring momentum to the Cardinals.  When the game ended in a Red Bird victory fans celebrated.  One man said, “It was amazing it was an amazing game a pitchers’ duel.”  The Cardinals’ victory is giving a lot of confidence to supporters who are now using the word “sweep” in describing what may happen next in the National League Championship Series.
