Cardinals beat Dodgers in Game 2; NLC Series 2-0

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Cardinals are up 2-0 in the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers. A 1-0 score at game two in St. Louis earned the Redbirds a happy flight to Los Angeles. The next thee games of the series will be played at Dodger Stadium

A sacrifice fly by Jon Jay to left field scores David Freese in the 5th inning. The Cards led 1-0 the rest of the game. That was all the Cards needed. The Dodgers were unable to score the rest of the game.

Michael Wacha was the starting pitcher for the Cardinals. He shutdown a rally by the Dodgers in the 6th. Bases were loadedand Wacha threw two consecutive strike-outs to end the inning. He was replaced by Siegrist in the 7th.

The series is not over by a long shot. The series moves to Los Angeles for the next three games. The series is the best of seven games and the Dodgers have come back from 0-2 deficits four times in postseason play.
