Cardinals rookie pitcher Michael Wacha outdueled Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in the Birds 1-0 Game Two win of the NLCS. The victory gives the Cardinals a 2-0 series lead.

Wacha pitcher six and two-thirds innings of shutout baseball, before giving way to the bullpen. Kevin Siegrist, Randy Choate, Carlos Martinez and Trevor Rosnethal continued the shutout over the final three and a third innings.

Clayton Kershaw was equally tough on the Cardinals. He allowed just two hits, a first inning triple by Matt Carpenter and a fifth inning double to David Freese. The only run also came in the fifth when Jon Jay's sacrifice fly brought home Freese.

The NLCS now shifts to Los Angeles for the next three games, starting Monday in California. Adam Wainwright will start game three for the Cardinals.
