ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louis police are investigating the apparent break-in of Dunbar elementary school in north St. Louis.  The school is located in the 1400 block of North Garrison Avenue, and was broken into sometime over the weekend.

Employees say the doors to the school were securely locked on Friday, October 11th when they left building for the weekend.  But on Monday morning, school officials say someone or persons broke into the school damaging several classrooms, stealing computers and other electronic devices.

Police have determined that the thief or thieves entered the school by breaking a window.

An investigation is ongoing.

Of course it’s been ransacked. Look where it is. Don’t they have security cameras on the premises? Perhaps they should review the security tapes. Oh, wait — bet they weren’t working . . . you know . . . ’cause the schools don’t have enough money . . .
