Fashion show benefits those in need with food drive

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Do you enjoy fashion and want to support a good cause?

Fashion for Food is an event that is striving to fight hunger by hosting a charity fashion show.

Florence Dewan, from the charity fundraiser, discussed Fashion for Food and how it came into existence.

The show takes place at the Chesterfield Mall food court on Sunday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m.

The proceeds from the show support the Women's Auxilary of the Salvation Army.

The show will feature fashions by ten local aspiring and established fashion designers, as well as two jewelry designers.

Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable canned food item to the event.

General admission is $10 online or $15 at the door.

VIP admission is $20 online or $25 at the door.  VIP admission includes a Macy's gift bag, hors d'oeuvres and two complimentary cocktail drinks from American Harvest.

Wine tasting will be provided for all guests ages 21 and up by Stone Hill Winery.

The top designers of the evening will be awarded prizes for their work. FOX 2's Angela Hutti will serve as the emcee for the evening.
