ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - On Monday, managers from FOX2 / News 11 and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch announced a co-operative that will feature some familiar faces.

"I've been an unofficial part of the family for awhile now, talking with April Simpson and Elliot Weiler in a segment we call 'The Front Row',” said “The Blender” columnist Kevin Johnson.  He is an entertainment writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.  "The great thing about this job is I'm on the front lines of every great concert that comes to town.  Just a couple weeks ago, I saw Nine Inch Nails at the Chaifetz Arena.  Incredible, incredible show."

But to some viewers, Post-Dispatch writer Aisha Sultan wanted to introduce herself.  She started the "Parents Talk Back" column about five years ago.

"And the whole reason was because I had started this journey as a mother, and I really felt like I had no clue what I was doing,” she admitted.  "And hopefully what you can do as a writer -- as a journalist -- is to give people expert opinions from other people who might know more on a particular topic.  And, you can offer a little bit of like hope."

Our Emmy-award-winning news coverage is now complemented by Emmy-award-winning restaurant coverage in FEAST magazine and "FEAST TV".

"Really, the idea was to take what we're doing in print and just bring it to life, via the medium you work in every single day which is TV,” said editor Catherine Neville.  “You can combine visual, the audio, and then that really fantastic story and just bring all of it together."

Coverage of news, weather, sports, and entertainment is set to grow along with this army of journalists.

"It's been a great year,” Johnson said.  “It's going to continue to be a great year."
