(KTVI)-- The St. Louis Cardinals lead the NLCS 3-1 after beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 in game 4.

Matt Carpenter doubled to the left center scoring Daniel Descalso to take a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning.

Matt Holliday crushed a 2-run home run deep in the left field to take a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning.

Yasiel Puig singled up the middle scoring Adrian Gonzalez.

A.J. Ellis hit a single to centerfield scoring Andre Ethier in the 4th inning.

Shane Robinson puts the Cardinals up 4-2 with a pinch-hit home run in the 7th inning.

Lance Lynn had 2ER and 5Ks in 5.1 IP.

The Cardinals need just one more win to head to the World Series. Game 5 is Wednesday at 3 p.m.
