WASHINGTON, DC – Senate leaders on Wednesday announced a deal to end the partial government shutdown and avoid a possible U.S. default as soon as midnight.

A key GOP conservative says he won’t try to block the measure.

“I never had any intention of delaying the timing of this vote. And indeed I thought it was interesting reading in the papers that, that much speculation about whether we might delay the timing of the vote. The Republican leadership never asked if I intended the delay the timing of the vote. My focus is on the substance. My focus is, I think, what the American people’s focus is, which is what are we doing to provide real relief to the people who are hurting because of Obamacare, and unfortunately, today, the answer is the United States Senate and the Washington establishment is doing nothing to provide relief for the millions of people who are hurting because of Obamacare.” said Sen. Ted Cruz – (R) Texas

Senate majority leader Harry Reid hailed the agreement he worked out with his GOP counterpart Mitch McConnell as “historic,” saying that “in the end, political adversaries put aside their differences.”

Step aside, Ted, and allow real progress to happen. Or we’ll just push you aside and shove you down the steps. Thanks for helping Dems win next election!

Oh, and Ted, name ONE person hurting because of Obamacare. One. There are MILLIONS hurting because of private insurance greed, however.

Not one person hurting because of Obamacare? Seriously? Just ask any of those part time employees at Trader Joe’s (to name just one business)that had their current (and cheap) family coverage dropped due to Obamacare. Ask them if they have been successful at signing up for Obamacare and if so, how much it is going to cost them. Believe it or not, there is nothing free in this world – somebody has to pay for the healthcare you think you are getting for free!
