Matheny celebrates NLCS win with family

(KTVI)-St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was named the 49th manager in St. Louis Cardinals franchise history in 2011. Now in just his second season as a professional manager, Matheny, 42, has guided his team to the World Series.

Rich Gould caught up with the manager and his children at the NLCS win over the Dodgers.

In 2012, his first year, Matheny guided the Cardinals to the National League Championship round of the playoffs.

The MLB veteran catcher played 13 seasons in the majors, making his debut with the Brewers in 1994. He signed a free-agent contract with the Cardinals on December 16, 1999 and he went on to spend five seasons with the Cardinals from 2000-2004.
