(KTVI) – A Missouri mom called up for jury duty now has a court date of her own.   The reason — she tried to bring her baby with her to the Jackson County courthouse to try and get out of jury duty.

Laura Trickle says because she breast feeds her son, she can’t serve jury duty.  But the judge told her she would have to pump on breaks or bring someone to watch the baby and breast feed on breaks.

She disagreed and now she’s fighting a contempt of court charge.   She’s due in court on Thursday.

There’s no word whether or not she will bring her baby with her to fight the charge.
