Many roads closed Sunday morning for Rock ‘n Roll marathon

(KTVI)-The Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon will bring more than 15,000 runners and walkers to downtown St. Louis Sunday morning. Spectators, family, and friends will also be headed to the city.

The course of the race will close many roads in the city of St. Louis. Most road closures and detours will be in effect on Sunday between the hours of 6:00am and 2:45pm. Cardinals fans planning to head downtown early for Game 4 of the World Series should be prepared to still deal with some closures.

Important Closures:

  • Southbound Grand Blvd between Laclede Avenue and Chouteau Avenue
  • Tower Grove Avenue from Manchester Avenue to Magnolia Avenue
  • Magnolia Avenue from Tower Grove Ave to S. Grand Boulevard
  • Russell Blvd from S Grand Blvd to Mississippi Avenue
  • Market Street from 18th Street to Compton Avenue
  • Forest Park Avenue from Compton Avenue to Kingshighway  Blvd.
  • Truman Parkway/18th Street from Park Avenue to Chestnut Street
  • 1-64 off ramps at 39B and 39A Market Street / 21st Street
