No. 5 Mizzou falls to No. 20 S. Carolina

(KTVI) – Mizzou has rarely felt the sting of a loss as deeply as they did Saturday night. The Tigers blew a 17 point lead and loss to South Carolina on Saturday in double overtime.

They led 17 to in the 4th quarter and then South Carolina tied because Mizzou couldn’t figure out how to defend the screen pass.

In the first overtime, Marcus Murphy scored on a 1-yard run putting the tigers up 24 to 17.  Somehow, at 4th and 15, South Carolina  finds Bruce Ellington somehow open in the end zone and scored, tying the game.

In the second overtime, South Carolina kicked a field goal. Mizzou tried to tie with a field goal but missed.  South Carolina won the game.
