World Series “Bucket List” wish granted to cancer victim

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A young woman with a terminal illness is having a dream come true by attending Sunday's World Series Game. Lindsay Ripley of Lee's Summit, Missouri realizes she may be going to attend her only World Series. The 23-year-old woman was diagnosed with cancer four years ago. she is not expected to live much longer.

Lindsay has a tumor on her brain stem, another tumor in her stomach, and six tumors on her spine. Some friends started a website about a week ago that shows Lindsay's "bucket list." A company in Omaha saw the website and sent her tickets to Sundays game in St. Louis. Her dad and two friends are going to the game with her. As an added bonus, the Cardinals arranged for her to meet Yadier Molina before the game.

Lindsay says she will also get to go to Monday night's World Series game thanks to some friends who purchased tickets for her.

    How Awesome. Touched my heart and brought many emotions. The young lady seems very strong and appreciative of life and the pain in her father. I hope I never have to endure that pain as a parent but if I do I hope I do it with as much strength and dignity as this family. God Bless You, my prayers are with you.
