SAN RAFAEL, CA – Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri testified Monday in the trial of a teenager charged with stealing his $200,000 Lamborghini.

19-year-old Max Wade IS accused of taking the car from a San Francisco dealership in 2011. Prosecutors say he did it to impress a girl who didn’t want anything to do with him.

Fieri was taping a television show when he got the call. “I was in Chicago shooting ‘Diners Drive-ins and Dives’ and actually because the cameras were running when I answered the phone I thought oh I’m getting, you know, someone’s messing with me, this is a bad joke. But, it wasn’t a bad joke and it was very surprising. You know that it went down the way it went down.”

Along with theft, Wade is also charged with attempted murder. Authorities say he fired shots at the girl who had spurned him and her then-boyfriend.
