Veolia withdraws from water study project in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– The French water company that had proposed studying ways to make the St. Louis water department more efficient has pulled out of the project.

The company would have been paid a quarter of a million dollars to study the department, but opponents feared it was a pre-cursor to the company taking over the city’s water system.
