(KTVI) – The You Paid For It Team has learned the embattled Former Chancellor of St Louis Community College got a nice send off when she left the school.

Myrtle Dorsey had a turbulent tenure here and the Board of Trustees told her they were not renewing her $224,000 contract which runs till next June. Dorsey could have stayed until then to honor the contract.

Instead, she told the Board she was taking a leave of absence and leaving now, heading out of town.

The Board decided it would pay her off for the remainder of her contract, handing her $195,000 on her way out the door.

We questioned the Chairman of the Trustee Board Craig Larson about this deal. He insisted the College was just honoring its contractual obligations to her. This even though she decided on her own to leave early.

The College has now hired an Interim Superintendent at a salary of $224,000.
