Armed suspect robs Motomart

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL. (KTVI) – The Fairview Heights Police Department is investigating the robbery of a Motomart by an armed suspect, on Friday, November 2nd.  The suspect walked into the Motomart in the 6000 block of North Illinois Street brandishing a semi-automation handgun and demanded money from the store clerk.

There was a customer in the store at the time of the robbery.  The robber ordered both the customer and clerk to lay on the floor of the store and departed the store with around $200.

The suspect, thought to be between 19 to 25 years-old fled the scene.

No one was injured.
