ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- St. Louis is hosting one of the largest conventions of the year this week.

The Church of God in Christ moved its Annual Holy Convocation from Memphis to St. Louis four years ago.

The boxes are unpacked, and the vendors are displaying their goods.

Anne Hodges has been selling stylish suits at the Church of God in Christ Annual Convention since 1993.

Some 35,000 worshippers from around the world are expected to attend the 106th Holy Convocation at the America’s Center.

The convention is not only about the vendors and the spiritual development. It’s also about giving back to the St. Louis community.

And St. Louis appreciates the saints being here. The convention will pump some $22-million into the economy. That's great for local business owners and those like Diana Prescod, who traveled from New York, to sell her hand made hats.

The Church of God in Christ Convention runs through next Tuesday at the America’s Center.

The public is invited to attend worship services.
