Dellwood Market triple shooting suspect found in closet

DELLWOOD, MO (KTVI) – A teen has been charged for a triple shooting at the Dellwood Market this Saturday. Michael Smith, 18, faces charges for assault and armed criminal action.

Smith was found on Monday hiding in his closet by detectives with a fresh haircut. Investigators just released video stills obtained from the scene to the media. They asked the public for help in tracking this shooter.

Police say the victims and the shooter got into a squabble earlier on Saturday. They came face to face with each other outside the Dellwood Market at 10:30pm on Saturday. That is when police say the man in the photograph pulled out a gun and began shooting.

The three victims, a 21 year old male, a 19 year old male, and a 17 year old female were shot. The victims were taken to area hospitals and are expected to survive.

His bond is set at $150,000.
