Red light cameras changing driving habits

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Red light cameras are changing driver’s behaviors, and violations have significantly dropped since being installed six years ago in the St. Louis.

American Traffic Solutions installed the cameras across the city, and they did a recent analysis, finding 84 percent of vehicle owners who received and paid a red light camera citation never received another one.

Also, they say the average number of citations issued per camera each month decreased by nearly 60 percent.

    Oh look, a press release from American Traffic $olution$ parroted by a local news outlet. They must be nervous about some recent court rulings.

    As usual with pro-scamera “news,” I see no mention of any reduction in actual crashes caused by red light violations (because there aren’t any). $hocker.

    It’s all about this private company making a buck off of taxpayers…
