St. Louis County police nab burglary suspect

brown_mug(KTVI) – A man whose fingerprints were allegedly found at the scene of a burglary is now in police custody.

St. Louis County Police say James Brown, 34, of Cahokia was arrested last week after a traffic stop in South St. Louis County.

Police believe Brown was involved in a burglary at a newly completed home in South St. Louis County on October 25th.

The suspect had stolen the refrigerator and turned off the gas and water.  Brown’s fingerprints were found at the burglary scene.

He was arrested and charged with Second Degree Burglary and Stealing. His bond is set at $50,000.

Police believe Brown is also involved the theft of 10 AC units in October. Brown was already wanted on active warrants from Illinois for burglary and stealing.  He denied any involvement in the October 25 burglary.
