Wood River issues boil order

WOOD RIVER, IL. (KTVI) – The City ofWood River, Illinois has issued a boil order in response to water plant improvements that also includes the Northeast Central County Public Water District.

The order went into effect Tuesday morning and will last till water samples sent to a lab come back negative of any contamination to the city.

Until such time, residents and businesses need to boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least five minutes before use.
