ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Some people are talking trash on Thursday with the Mayor of Creve Coeur. They're protesting the city's plan to end free trash pickup after 64 years.

The citizens rallied at the monthly Coffee with the Mayor event, at the City Government Center. They claim Creve Coeur has a million dollar budget surplus and does not need to start charging for trash pickup.

Those protesting the end of free trash pickup apparently haven’t noticed the cities and states that are effectively bankrupt because of providing services in excess of revenue. You can’t pay your credit card with your credit card unless you’re the government.
