Gov. Quinn introduces running mate for Lieutenant Governor

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is set to formally introduce Paul Vallas on Tuesday as his new running mate for Lieutenant Governor.

Vallas is the former head of Chicago Public Schools who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination for Governor in 2002.  Since then, he has led the public school systems in Philadelphia, New Orleans and Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Current Leiutenant Governor Shiela Simon is running for State Comptroller next year.
