O'FALLON, MO (KTVI)-- A move by O`Fallon, Missouri police to crackdown on shoplifters seems to be gaining support from citizens and business owners.

The department began posting photos of shoplifting suspects in April.

So far, the rate of the crime has not decreased, in fact there are a few more cases, still people and store owners like the idea.

Including Randy Hudson who is part-owner of Randy`s Jewelry.

The store was a shoplifting target a few years ago.

Ten thousand dollars worth of diamonds were stolen.

He says during the holiday season the store gets very busy and his workers have to be extra vigilant and on guard against shoplifters.
