(KTVI) - A Buenos Aires artist doesn't' take brushes to the canvas. Instead, he uses his tears.

Leonardo Granato says he paints using the tear ducts in his eyes.  The technique is called, "tear drop" and it uses the connection between the sinuses and the tear ducts.

Granato sucks the pigment through his nose then moves the paints out his tear ducts.  He says the paint is plant based and will not harm him.

It's taken him three years to perfect the technique and his paintings cost anywhere from $300 to $7,000 for larger pieces.
