(KTVI) – The University of Missouri is set to name a new chancellor for the Columbia campus Thursday morning. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the former Texas A & M President R. Bowen Loftin will take the job.

He resigned in July to take a teaching position in the engineering school. Loftin oversaw Texas A & M’s move from the BIG 12 to the SEC. He would replace chancellor Brady Deaton, who retired last month.
