City school bus slides on ice, hits parked car

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A St. Louis city school bus lost control on the ice early Friday and slammed into a park car.

The accident happened around 6:40 a.m. Friday on Kraft near West Park.  Authorities say no children were on board the bus.   St. Louis city school have not cancelled classes for Friday.

Treacherous Roads
There have been several reports of accidents on the highways as well as side roads.

Police say a passenger car hit a city snow plow at Kingshighway Boulevard and Lansdowne Avenue around 1:45 a.m.  The plow operator is okay.  But, the other car just took off.

Witnesses said the car then lost control on the slick streets at Chippewa Street and Macklind Avenue.  It hit a light pole.  A couple of men inside got out and ran away on foot.
