ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) -  The latest round of winter weather shuts down on Saturday morning. Then quiet and cold the rest of the weekend. There will be a warming trend for the next week. But, we are still on track for impressive cold starting next weekend into Christmas week.

Light snow and flurries end in the morning. Clouds and cold for the bulk of the day

The classic southwest storm system pulls away to the northeast on Saturday. A cold weekend, but nothing extreme, with warmer temperatures digging in next week. A very impressive cold shot takes over Christmas week. The big question is if this is just a cold air surge or if we get a snow as it takes over.
