Striking Mt. Olive teachers want a weekend bargaining session

MT. OLIVE, MO (KTVI) – Teachers on strike in Mount Olive, Illinois are calling for a weekend bargaining session.  A federal mediator took part in a six-hour bargaining session last night, but they could not  reach a deal. ‘

Schools in Mt. Olive have been closed since the strike started on Monday.  The teachers want to get back into the classroom and have asked the board to meet with them over the weekend to reach a resolution.
