ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police arrested a woman who they say assaulted an elementary school principal Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say the 22-year-old woman was trying to pick up a student around 2:50 p.m. at Adams Elementary School when the principal would not let the student go because of school policies.

The woman was asked to leave school grounds and was being escorted by the principal when she allegedly assaulted him.

The woman was detained by safety officers until police arrived.  The principal was checked out at an area hospital. He only suffered minor injuries.

This isn’t the first time folks, it won’t be the last. Heck, it happened at another elementary school less than a week ago. Police response, restraining orders, the works. Guess what, the student and family are still here. Of course, so are the students who have assaulted staff members, most with no suspension or even a note in their file. That’s the state of affairs in this city.

You are crazy, I would not like someone getting MY kid without my express permission. If you are not on the list, the school has no legal right to let you take a child out of their care, PERIOD – not obama’s period, either.

If she’s not on the list she’s not on the list. Parents should take it seriously when schools ask for lists of who is allowed to pick up their children. The fact that the woman got violent is probably why the parents didn’t want her around the child.

I completely agree. If the school let students go with someone not on the list we would be reading a different type of story. A story of neglect on behalf of the school!
