Two killed, four wounded as shots ring out in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Shots rang out on the city’s north side Sunday afternoon, leaving two people dead and four others wounded. St. Louis police responded to the 4000 block of Peck in north St. Louis around 2:00pm.  Two people inside a SUV had been shot.   One of victims, a 32 year old man, was killed. A 23 year old man inside the SUV is in critical condition. A stray bullet went inside a home near the shooting scene and struck and killed a 51 year old woman.

Police also responded to a shooting in the 5300 block of N. Euclid. There are three different victims in that shooting.

Not far away, portion of westbound I-70 near Kingshighway was shut down for a time while another shooting was investigated. It appeared a vehicle there had been hit with bullets.

There have been no arrests in these shootings, which all happened arounnd the same time. Police believe the shootings are not connected

St. Louis Police Department Captain Steven Mueller said, “We’re very early in the investigation right now. We’re interviewing witnesses, looking for other witnesses and gathering evidence and we hope to have some more information later on but right now we don’t.”
