4 arrested in suspected meth lab

CAHOKIA, IL (KTVI) – The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged four suspects with methamphetamine manufacturing charges.  The four suspects were arrested Friday, January 24th after a tip to the St. Clair County Sheriff Drug Tactical Unit, lead officers to a possible meth lab in the 1100 block of St. Helen in Cahokia, Illinois.

After speaking with the residents of the home, officers gained permission to search the property, and discovered evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing in the garage and in trash bins outside the home. Officers also discovered a stolen black Ford F-250 in garage.

Investigators say a 4-year-old girl was located in the residence; she was turned over to her grandmother.

The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team was called in to clean up the hazardous materials from the meth lab.

The following suspects were charged with one count each, of aggravated participation of methamphetamine manufacturing:

Roy V. Edwards Jr., 39
Andrea L. Casper, 31
Andrew Elliott, 35
Jessica L. Elliott, 30

All suspects remain in the custody of the St. Clair County Jail.

    Cahokia isn’t “coming to” this. Cahokia is simply an extension of East St. Louis at this point. At least East St. Louis has the casino. If you willingly live in Cahokia, you are a fool of the highest order or too old to even try leaving. It has nothing to do with race, either. The people there have simply given up, it’s pathetic.
