Police seek juvenile in string of Columbia burglaries; One arrested

COLUMBIA, IL (KTVI) – Police have charged two suspects in a string of area home and car burglaries.  Tyler Ashcraft, 18, and a juvenile from Collinsville, IL are accused of stealing from 21 vehicles and three homes. Authorities have Ashcraft in custody.  They are still looking for his accomplice.

Ashcraft is charged with 21 counts of burglary from a motor vehicle.  He also faces 3 counts of residential burglary.  His bond is set at $50,000.

      A good kid doesn’t get kicked out of high school and then go into someone’s home while they are sleeping and rob them….he violated over twenty families…that is not a good kid at all…he deserves the maximum sentence.
