(KTVI) – Illinois lawmakers will try again this year to expand gambling in the land of Lincoln.

Gambling proponents hope to add five new casinos in the state and slot machines at O’Hare and Midway airports.

Lawmakers failed to come up with an agreement last May, so now they’re set for a series of hearings on the issue.

The first will be at 6 pm Tuesday night at the Casino Queen in East St. Louis.
