JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KTVI)-- An amazing lost dog story has a good ending for a Jefferson City man.   Griffin walker says his dog, Daphne, went missing three and a half years ago when he lived in south St. Louis.

The dog, a German Shepard and Saluki mix, was found recently not far from his old home on Magnolia Street.  He says someone noticed a stray dog and called the Missouri Humane Society.  The microchip in the dog and led to Walker.

The 25-year-old college student says he believes the dog was staying with someone because she gained about 20 pounds, but apparently has not been to a vet for awhile.  She developed a tumor in her ear.

Walker says he will drive to St. Louis to pick up Daphne after she undergoes surgery for the tumor on her ear.
