JENNINGS, MO (KTVI)– Police are investigating the stabbing of a female Jennings basketball player Friday night.

They say the girl was attacked after a game by students from rival Normandy High School.

As a result, the superintendent of Jennings schools is asking parents of athletes to refrain from dropping students off at the gym at night.

The school will have escorts for the athletes to and from the building for their safety.
