BOWLING GREEN, MO (KTVI)--  Folks north of St. Louis got a taste of winter weather Friday.  People driving Highway 61 were not having any problems but the rural roads to the east and west were covered in a light dusting.  Nine miles south of Hannibal, MoDOT trucks were salting and clearing roads.

In Hannibal, it appeared they received about an inch or two of snow.  Some streets were snow packed.  Folks were shoveling the snow outside their business.  People have a love/hate relationship with winter weather.  Cathy Washington said, “I’ve had enough of this. I’m ready for spring.”

Albert Washington disagreed. “I love winter. It’s time to chill in the house, sit back and lay back don’t do nothing. It’s lazy days for me.”

And Mike Sankphill said, “It seems like it’s been too long but I think because we’ve had more snow than in past years.”
