Police working on keeping drunk drivers off roads

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – County Police will be beefing up patrols tonight. The department is trying to keep drunk drivers off the road. The St. Louis County Highway Safety Unit will have officers looking for traffic offenses. Officers from the unit will be supplementing patrols in each individual precinct.

Officer Karl Streckfuss anticipates there will be drunk driving arrests. He hopes drivers will make plans to use a designated driver. He said a night with no arrests would be success.

Some Super Bowl fans have already made reservations with Scooter Guy. The company drives clients home in their own car. Owner Michael Oliver said he still has openings for tonight.
