EARTH CITY (KTVI) - Officers arrested a man early Monday morning, for leading a high-speed police chase.

Just before 4:30 a.m., Pine Lawn Police arrested one man after they say he led them on a high-speed chase. He may have taken off along Interstation 70 past Lambert International Airport westbound to the Earth City Expressway.

The suspect stopped, after his tires were damaged by spike strips.  But, he took off again when police left their cars.  The driver finally crashed on I-70 near the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, but tried to take off on foot. We hear police may have used their stun guns to subdue the suspect.  He faced resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer charges.
