If this store will be like Chicago’s, they’ll be tons of misbehaved screaming brats playing trampoline on the furniture. Perfect location, next to SLU, because much of their furniture is suited for a college dorm.

The most annoying thing about the do-it-yourself assembly of their furniture is that you don’t know it’s assembled wrong until you’re almost done and the last piece doesn’t fit or that you have parts left over.

We have made roadtrips to the Bollingbrook IKEA a few times. I love my two pieces of furniture. They went together quickly and correctly. I’m excited that IKEA is coming both because I love the store and they are bringing jobs to the area. If you don’t like the product, don’t buy it. I have a sneaking suspicion that the people commenting on the construction of the pieces have probably never bought IKEA products and are basing their opinions on Tonight Show jokes.

They have a huge IKEA store across from the Mall of America in Minneapolis. Plus if they build it here it would probably be in the chesterfield valley where everything else is going up

I drove up to IKEA in Chicago in 2007 to buy some furniture and it still looks new. I expect to keep it for a very long time.

@Mark, the location has already been determined and it is going in the city (see above).

I love to shop at Ikea for ideas..but was a little discouraged to see many of their products are actually made in China .
