Forest Park (KTVI) -   Missouri History Museum Director of Exhibits Jody Sowell takes Fox 2's John Pertzborn on a tour of the museum's new exhibit, which celebrates St. Louis history.

The History Museum's exhibit 250 in 250 tells the story of St. Louis in 50 people, 50 places, 50 moments, 50 images and 50 objects. Sowell said it was difficult to boil down St. Louis history into 50 of each of the categories. One thing that helped in the process, Sowell said, was not trying to select the 50 most important of any one area.

"These really are a wide selection of stories that just represent that richness, diversity and complexity of the city's history," Sowell said.

The exhibit allows opportunities for visitors to tell the museum who they think should have been included in the exhibit.
