(FOX) - Lawmakers in Illinois are pushing to make smoking in cars with minors illegal. Violators could face hundred-dollar fines; but police would not be able to pull drivers over for it.

FOX reporter Darlene Hill reports.

    Stop being our parents. We do not need the government telling us what and when we can do things. I cannot believe there is nothing better for our officials to take care of.

    Illinois has the highest murder rate courtesy of chicago, and is still drowning in debt from Obama’s reign of terror..Liberals hate tobacco, but love pot…Guess that’s why they call it dope..another liberal failure..

    Canada already is a step ahead banning smoking in vehicles with younger children. Why should anyone have to inhale 2nd hand smoke!! It is not a wonder that there are so many cases of respriatory problems in later years with both children and adults…If you care for your children, finish your cigarette first before you enter your vehicle or pull over…..Think of your child/ren first instead of yourself!
