ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Soulard is getting ready for a party. A big crowd is expected for this Saturday’s Grand Parade. St. Louis City Police and Mardi Gras organizers are working to put together the safest event possible this year.

Saturday’s Grand parade is expected to draw hundreds of thousands to Soulard and hundreds of police officers will also be on hand. They’ll be making sure coolers, alcohol and illegal items are not brought into the event. This year, surveillance cameras will be better than in years past.
