ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) -  A driver led police from several departments on a high speed chase around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The chase covered ground from North St. Louis County to North St. Louis.
It started in Bellefontaine Neighbors when officers spotted a Mustang that was speeding.  Officers tried to pull over the Mustang, but they say the driver put his foot on the gas and raced away.
The officers followed the Mustang through Calvary Cemetery and into North City.
At some point a large rock hit the window of the police cruiser.
The St. Louis Police Metropolitan Department eventually joined the chase.
Officers ran the license plate number on the Mustang and were able to trace it to a home in the 5200 block of Northland.
That is where police found the Mustang and the suspect.  He was taken into custody.
As of 6 a.m. Wednesday his name had not been released.  No property was damaged during the chase.
